Name of the IT Job (Position): Corporate Operations Engineer
Technical support for a technology company is a big task.
As a Corporate Operations Engineer the candidates have to look over the hardware and software needs, providing front line user support for all internal tools and technologies of the company. The candidate has to troubleshoot, respond to inquiries and find solutions to technical challenges that arise in day to day duties. Beyond the day-to-day, candidates need to improve the Google user experience by contributing to long-term projects and documentation efforts. The candidates should be highly technical and are comfortable problem solving with multiple operating systems (like OS X, Linux, Windows) and a large range of devices (including desktops/laptops, phone systems, video conferencing and various wireless devices). The selected candidates occasionally partner with various teams including security, networking and infrastructure. The selected candidate should be a fast learner and great communicator who can support the IT needs of the global offices of all sizes and of varying technical backgrounds.

Minimum Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree (In lieu of degree, 4 years relevant work experience).
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of Linux/UNIX desktop support experience, and Apple Macintosh experience.
- Demonstrated experience troubleshooting with applications and in a Linux, MAC and Microsoft networked environment.
- Understanding of LAN/WAN and mobile computing environments.
- Expertise in deploying and supporting desktops/laptops, phone systems, video conferencing and various wireless devices.
- Ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities and make quick decisions with limited information.
- Strong organisational, communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
Responsibilities of the selected candidate
- To Provide direct support for Linux, Mac and Microsoft desktops/laptops and user access to corporate network and applications both on the network as well as through remote VPN access.
- To Provide direct support for services such as office phones, video conferencing, and remote access.
- To Provide direct support for Google’s corporate resources and applications.
- To Provide direct support for Google’s office relocation's and expansions.
